Step 1 of 5

Welcome to your dashboard

After logging in, you'll land on your founder dashboard. This is your command centre — every module, every stat, every action starts here.

The purple sidebar on the left gives you access to every section of the platform. The main area shows your overview cards with live stats from each module.

💡 Your profile completion bar appears at the top. Fill in your company details early — it unlocks better recommendations.

Navigate with the sidebar

The sidebar is organised into four main sections: Investor Relations, Investor Readiness, Corporate, and Account.

Click the +/− arrows to expand or collapse each section. Each sub-item takes you directly to that module — your Shareholder Register, Bookbuild, Presentations, Board Governance, and more.

💡 The sidebar remembers which sections you had open. Active pages are highlighted in white.

Click Profile in the sidebar to fill in your company details. This information is used across the platform — in your cap table, investor documents, and compliance records.

Key fields: company name, sector, company stage, entity type, ABN/ACN, location, and your current raise target. The more you complete, the better the platform works for you.

💡 Profile completion is progressive — you're never forced to fill everything at once. Add details as you go.

📊 Shareholder Register
Step 1 of 5

Your digital cap table

The Shareholder Register is your company's live cap table. It tracks every shareholder, share class, and ownership percentage in real time.

Navigate here from the sidebar under Investor Relations → Shareholder Register. You'll see a summary of your current shareholding structure at the top.

Step 2 of 5

Add a share class

Before adding shareholders, set up your share classes. Click + Add Share Class and define the class name, total authorised shares, and any special rights.

Common classes: Ordinary shares, Preference shares, Employee Option Pool. Each class tracks separately in your cap table.

💡 Most early-stage companies start with just Ordinary shares. Add new classes as you take on investment rounds.

Add shareholders

Click + Add Shareholder to record a new holder. Enter their name, email, entity type (individual, company, trust), share class, number of shares, and price per share.

The register shows a clear breakdown by shareholder and by class. Each row displays shares held, ownership percentage, and value at the current share price.

Filter by share class to see the breakdown for a specific round. The totals update automatically as you add or modify records.

Send shareholder communications

From the Communications tab, send updates directly to your shareholders. Choose your audience — all shareholders, a specific share class, or individual holders.

Write your update, attach documents if needed, and send. Every email goes out branded with your company name and your email as the reply-to address. Shareholders reply directly to you, not to CatenaHQ.

Step 1 of 5

The Bookbuild module is where you track every investor conversation from first contact through to commitment. Think of it as a CRM built specifically for capital raising.

Navigate here from Investor Readiness → Bookbuild. You'll see your pipeline summary and a table of all investors.

Step 3 of 5

Update status and add notes

Click any investor row to open their detail view. Update their status as conversations progress, add notes after each meeting, and record key dates.

The notes timeline gives you a full history of every interaction, so nothing falls through the cracks during a raise.

Step 4 of 5

Filter and sort your pipeline

Use the filter tabs to view investors by status: All, Active, Committed, or Passed. Sort by amount, last contact date, or status to prioritise your outreach.

This helps you focus on the investors most likely to convert and follow up with those going quiet.

Track your raise progress

The pipeline summary at the top shows your total pipeline value and committed amount against your target. As investors move to "Committed" status, your progress bar fills up.

This gives you a clear picture of where your raise stands at any point, helping you make informed decisions about closing timelines and allocation.

💡 Keep investor statuses current. A well-maintained bookbuild is the single most important tool during an active raise.

Once uploaded, generate a unique share link for each investor or group. Each link is trackable — you'll know exactly who opened it, when, and how long they spent.

Copy the link and send it via your own email, or use the Communications module to include it in an investor update.

Track views

The views table shows every time someone opens your deck: their name (if captured), location, device, time spent, and which pages they viewed.

This tells you which investors are actively engaged and which ones haven't looked yet — invaluable intel during a raise.

💡 An investor who's spent 20 minutes on your deck is worth a follow-up call. One who opened and closed in 10 seconds probably isn't.

Manage versions

Upload new versions of your deck as it evolves. The platform tracks all versions and shows which links point to which version.

You can update the file behind an existing share link so investors always see the latest version, or create new links for the new version while keeping old ones active.

💡 Version your decks clearly. "Series A Deck v3 — Post Due Diligence" is much better than "Final Final v2".

Organise by category

Documents are organised into standard DD categories: Governance, Financial, Legal, IP, Commercial, and Team. Each category has a checklist of expected documents.

Upload files into the correct category. The platform tracks what's been provided and what's still missing.

Run a gap analysis

Click Gap Report to instantly see what's missing from your data room. The report lists every required document by category and flags what hasn't been uploaded yet.

This is the fastest way to know exactly what you need before sharing the room with an investor.

💡 Run the gap analysis before every investor meeting. Investors notice missing documents — it signals a lack of preparation.

Share with investors

When your data room is ready, generate a secure share link with optional password protection and expiry date. Send it to your investor contacts directly or through the Bookbuild module.

Track who accesses the room and which documents they download. This intelligence helps you prepare for DD meetings by knowing what the investor has already reviewed.

💡 A well-organised data room signals professionalism. It's often the first impression an investor gets of how you run your business.

This record is invaluable during due diligence. Investors and advisers expect to see a well-maintained governance trail, and this module produces it automatically.

💡 Good governance isn't about bureaucracy — it's about showing investors you run a disciplined operation. Start early, even as a small team.

The compliance record also feeds into your Due Diligence module — investors can see your compliance history as part of the DD process.
