Getting Started

How do I create an account?

Visit catenahq.com.au and click Get Started. Enter your name, email, company name, and choose a password. You'll receive a verification email — click the link to activate your account and access your dashboard.

If you were invited by a partner or administrator, you'll receive a setup email with a unique link. Click it to set your password and access the platform directly.

I can't log in — what should I do?

Make sure you're using the correct email address. If you've forgotten your password, click Forgot Password on the login page — a reset link will be sent to your email.

If your account was set up via an invite link that has expired, contact your partner or admin to resend the invite. Sessions last 30 days, so you shouldn't need to log in frequently.

How do I navigate the platform?

The purple sidebar on the left is your main navigation. It's organised into sections: Investor Relations, Investor Readiness, Corporate, and Account. Click the +/− icons to expand or collapse each section.

The Overview tab at the top shows cards for every module with live stats. Click any card to jump to that module. Every number on the dashboard is a live link — click it to drill into the data.

For a full walkthrough, visit our .

How do I complete my company profile?

Click Profile in the sidebar under Account. Fill in your company details: sector, company stage, entity type, ABN/ACN, location, and raise target.

Profile completion is progressive — you don't need to fill everything at once. A progress bar shows how complete your profile is, and a nudge banner appears on module pages until you reach 100%.

These details are used across the platform for grant matching, compliance, and investor-facing documents.

Are there guided tours of each module?

Yes. Each module has a built-in guided tour that highlights key features with step-by-step tooltips. Tours run automatically on your first visit to each module.

To re-run a tour, look for the "Take a tour" option in the sidebar or module header. There are 15 tours covering every section of the platform.

Account & Settings

How do I change my password?

Go to Account → Profile in the sidebar. Scroll to the password section and enter your current password followed by your new password. Click Update Password.

If you've forgotten your password, use the Forgot Password link on the login page. A reset email will be sent to your registered address.

How do I submit a support request?

Go to Account → Support in the sidebar. Click New Ticket, describe your issue, and submit. Your admin or partner will see the ticket and respond. You'll be notified when there's a reply.

For urgent issues, you can also email anthony@catenahq.com.au directly.

Can I delete my account?

Contact support to request account deletion. For compliance purposes, your data is anonymised rather than fully deleted — your email is freed for reuse, your password is cleared, and your account is marked as deleted. Historical transaction data is retained as required by law.

How long does my session last?

Sessions last 30 days. You'll stay logged in for a month before needing to re-authenticate. This applies to all dashboards — founder, partner, and admin.

Investor Relations

How do I set up my shareholder register?

Navigate to Investor Relations → Shareholder Register. Start by adding your share classes (Ordinary, Preference, etc.), then add shareholders with their name, email, entity type, share class, number of shares, and price per share.

The platform automatically calculates ownership percentages and tracks the cap table in real time. See the for a step-by-step walkthrough.

How do share transfers work?

The Share Transfer Hub lets you record transfers between shareholders. Initiate a transfer from Investor Relations → Share Transfers, specifying the from/to shareholders, share class, number of shares, and transfer price.

Transfers go through a workflow: initiated → board review → approved → completed. Each step is logged for governance compliance.

How do I send updates to shareholders?

Go to Investor Relations → Communications and click New Update. Write your update, choose the audience (all shareholders, specific share class, or individual holders), and send.

Emails are sent branded with your company name. The reply-to address is your email, so shareholders reply directly to you — not to CatenaHQ. Drafts save automatically.

What is investor verification?

Investor verification lets you confirm investor identities and classifications (wholesale, sophisticated, retail). Navigate to Investor Relations → Verifications.

Generate a verification by entering the investor's name and email. They receive a branded email with a link to complete verification. You can approve, reject, resend, or copy the link from the verification queue.

How do I run a shareholder vote?

Go to Investor Relations → Voting. Create a new resolution with a title, description, voting type (ordinary or special), and open/close dates. Share the vote with your shareholders and track responses in real time.

Investor Readiness

How do I track my investor pipeline?

The Bookbuild module is your investor CRM. Navigate to Investor Readiness → Bookbuild. Add investors with their details, indicative amounts, and status. Track them through the stages: Lead → Contacted → Meeting → In DD → Term Sheet → Committed.

Filter by status, sort by amount or last contact, and add notes after each interaction. See the for the full walkthrough.

How do I share my investor deck?

Go to Investor Readiness → Presentations. Upload your deck as a PDF, then generate unique share links for each investor or group. Each link is trackable — you'll see who opened it, when, how long they spent, and which pages they viewed.

Upload new versions as your deck evolves. You can update the file behind an existing link or create new links for the new version.

How do I set up a data room?

Navigate to Investor Readiness → Due Diligence. Create a new DD process for each raise or investor engagement. Documents are organised into standard categories: Governance, Financial, Legal, IP, Commercial, and Team.

Upload files into each category. Run the Gap Report to see what's missing. When ready, generate a secure share link to give investor access. See the for details.

How do I manage an investment campaign?

The Campaign Hub at Investor Readiness → Campaigns manages your investment campaign preparation. Create a campaign and the platform generates a task checklist covering legal, platform, marketing, and compliance requirements.

Track tasks, add comments and files, filter by category, and run the gap report to see what's outstanding. Your adviser or partner can see your progress in real time.

What is the Capital Strategy module?

Capital Strategy at Investor Readiness → Capital Strategy is your raise planning tool. Use it to document your raise approach, instrument type (equity, convertible note, SAFE), target amount, valuation, and timeline.

It's a reference document that keeps your strategic decisions in one place — useful when explaining your raise structure to investors and advisers.

Corporate

How do I manage board governance?

Navigate to Corporate → Board Governance. Add your directors, schedule board meetings, track action items, and maintain meeting minutes. Overdue actions appear as alerts on your dashboard.

This builds a complete governance record that investors expect to see during due diligence. See the .

How does the Compliance Calendar work?

The Compliance Calendar at Corporate → Compliance tracks all your regulatory and corporate filing deadlines. Add items with due dates, categories, and recurrence. Recurring items automatically create the next deadline when marked complete.

Overdue and upcoming items appear as dashboard alerts. Filter by status to focus on what needs attention now.

How do I track KPIs?

Go to Corporate → KPI Dashboard. Define the metrics you want to track (revenue, users, MRR, burn rate, etc.) and add data points over time. The platform visualises your trends and makes them available for board packs and investor updates.

How do I track grants and R&D tax?

Grants: Navigate to Corporate → Grants to track grant applications from discovery through to outcome. The platform can suggest matching grants based on your company profile.

R&D Tax: Navigate to Corporate → R&D Tax to log eligible R&D projects and expenditure. Track spending by category and generate reports for your tax adviser. See the .

Billing & Pricing

What are the pricing plans?

CatenaHQ offers three main tiers: Base ($99/month), Complete ($189/month), and Advisory (custom pricing). Individual module add-ons are also available. Annual billing saves 2 months. Sub-users are $19/month each.

Visit the Pricing page for full details and feature comparisons.

Is there a free trial?

During the beta period, all founders have full access to the platform at no cost. When billing is activated, you'll be notified in advance and given the opportunity to choose a plan.

Partners always have free access — partner accounts are never charged.

How do I manage my subscription?

Go to Account → Billing in the sidebar. From there you can view your current plan, upgrade or downgrade, manage payment methods, download invoices, and cancel your subscription.

Billing is handled securely through Stripe. CatenaHQ does not store your card details.

Partners

What is a partner account?

Partners are organisations that work with founders — accelerators, venture funds, company secretaries, and accountants. They get a dedicated partner dashboard that lets them view their clients' progress across all modules.

Partner accounts are always free. Partners see a client picker on every module, select a client to drill into their data, and can track progress across their portfolio.

How do I set up my partner account?

When invited, you'll receive an email with a setup link. Click it to set your password and access the partner dashboard. If the link has expired, contact the platform administrator to resend the invite.

Once set up, you can access the partner dashboard at any time through the standard login page. Sessions last 30 days.

How do I view my clients' data?

Every module on the partner dashboard shows a client picker at the top. Select a client from the list to view their data for that module. Use the breadcrumb navigation to switch between clients or return to the client list.

The partner overview shows summary stats across all your clients, giving you a portfolio-level view.
